Teen Financial Literacy Program

Developing good financial habits early can add up to big rewards for today and in the future. In July 2009, Nouveau Riche introduced its first-ever Teen Financial Literacy class at the Nouveau Riche Real Estate Investment College. Teens ages 13-17 had the opportunity to participate in this eye-opening and interactive class, where they learned information to improve their saving and spending habits for years to come.

Co-taught by Nouveau Riche Instructors Craig Cottrell and Phillip Lechter, the Teen Financial Literacy class teaches through exploratory discussions, breakout application exercises, and reflective discussions on basics of budgeting and smart spending, financial management vehicles, credit, and much more. Here, students gain a fundamental understanding of financial literacy and how this knowledge can empower them.
