It all started in November of 2008, when Alex Stewart and Erin (Klein) Stewart first met at an ISA Regional Training in Salt Lake City, UT. Erin tells the story…
“It was kind of a fluke encounter...I was hungry and, acting purely on my hunger, I asked Alex where to get something to eat. He, on the other hand, had been keeping an eye on me throughout the two-day event…
As fate would have it, a month or two later, we both attended a briefing in Layton, UT. Typically I attended meetings closer to my home, but on this occasion I made the drive to Layton to get pictures from IRA Russ Keetch for a movie project I was working on…Alex overheard that I might need some help and offered his assistance. We exchanged numbers and over the next two months Alex called me periodically to see if I needed any help with the project. Being the stubborn person that I am, I said, "No thanks, I'll figure it out." Eventually he stopped calling. At one point in the project, I got hung up on some software and gave him a call. Although he didn't know the answer, we chatted for over an hour. That’s when I found out that he had been a gymnastics instructor for several years – one of my favorite pastimes… He offered to teach me more about gymnastics and, out of sheer excitement, I agreed to meet him at his house, set up his trampoline, and start the instruction.
We spent the afternoon having fun…and by the end of the evening, we were making plans for our classes to coincide at the upcoming April 2009 Nouveau Riche College and setting a date to meet at a nearby university’s gymnastics facility. A few days later we were at the university’s gym; a few days after that we were at the April College. During College, Alex was so stealthy that he would move his chair closer and closer to mine during class and I didn't even realize it… On class breaks we would walk the hallways together… After class, we went to Alex’s friend’s house in Peoria, AZ, to have dinner, watch movies, and just hang out. By the end of our stay in AZ, we had spent nearly every day together. We even figured out a way for us to ride back to Utah in the same car. From that point on, we called each other every day and saw each other as often as possible. One month later, we decided to get married and set the date for June 20, 2009!
On June 20th, we tied the knot and have been happily married ever since! Without Nouveau Riche, we never would have met! I believe it all happened so quickly because we have such common goals, interests and vision for our future. Thanks to Nouveau Riche, its founders Jim and Mary Piccolo and Bob Snyder, and the Law of Attraction, we had our Nouveau-union!”
Congratulations, Alex and Erin Stewart!
